Realtime delivery for every app.
Live updates on screen, push to every device, and notifications by email, SMS and Slack. One API, running on the edge, close to your users.
- Web push
- iOS
- Android
- SMS
- Slack
- Live in-app
Features
Everything you need to reach users in real time
Live updates and notifications in one place, so you stop stitching services together.
Realtime channels
Push updates to every open screen the moment something happens. Public, private and presence channels, as many as you need.
Push to every device
Web push in every browser, plus native iOS and Android. One call reaches people wherever they are.
Notifications everywhere
Email, SMS and Slack out of the box. Bring the providers you already use, or build your own connector to deliver to any channel.
Presence and typing
See who's online, who's typing and who has read what. Everything live chat needs.
Nothing missed
Connections drop. Walkie fills in what was missed, in order, and tells the app to resync if a gap is too long.
Preferences built in
Every user picks which events reach them and where. Walkie respects it on every send.
How it works
One call. Walkie does the rest.
- 1
Your app publishes
Send one event to Walkie with a simple HTTP call or our SDK.
- 2
Walkie works out who
It knows who follows each channel and what each person wants to hear about.
- 3
Delivered where they are
Only the people who should know get it. On screen if they're online, push, email, SMS or Slack if they're not.
await walkie.publish({
channel: "orders:4821",
event: "order.shipped",
data: { carrier: "UPS", eta: "Thu" },
notify: {
audience: { users: ["u_dana"] },
title: "Your order shipped",
},
});Use cases
Built for any app
If your users need to know the moment something happens, Walkie gets it to them.
Commerce
Order, payment and shipping updates the second they change.
Logistics
Live driver and job status for customers and dispatch.
Collaboration
Boards, docs and dashboards that stay in sync for everyone.
Support and live chat
Route new messages to the right agent and let them reply live.
AI agents
Stream agent activity and hand conversations to a human in real time.
Internal tools
Alerts and approvals that reach the right person, wherever they are.
Why Walkie
Why another realtime platform?
Realtime platforms don't do notifications. Notification platforms don't do realtime. Walkie does both, and knows which one each person needs.
Usually
With Walkie
Realtime and notifications are separate products, often from separate vendors, glued together by your code.
One platform and one publish call for live updates, push, email, SMS and Slack.
Live updates and push don't know about each other, so your app tracks who's online, or people get the same alert twice.
Walkie decides per person: live if they're connected, their preferred channel if not. No duplicates.
On many platforms, a dropped connection means missed updates and a page refresh.
Short drops are replayed in order, exactly once. Longer gaps trigger a clean resync, so nothing is silently lost.
Notification preferences are something you build yourself.
Built in, per person, with defaults for each team.
One email or SMS provider outage and notifications stop going out.
Automatic failover to a backup provider, or plug in your own connector.
Many platforms pin your app to one region or cluster chosen up front.
Connections land at the edge, close to each user.
Intelligence
Intelligence built in
Walkie runs on ConversionIQ's Intelligence engine, so every delivery decides, writes and checks itself.
Delivery that decides
Set the goal, like "seen within 10 minutes". Maestri picks the channel and the moment for each person, and escalates until it's met.
Smart automations
Chain your connectors together. A bounced email triggers an SMS, a reply updates your CRM, and every message goes out through the best provider for it.
Written for each person
Copy adapted to every person and every channel: a short push, a fuller email, the same intent.
Their language, their urgency
Notifications reach people in their own language. Urgent events cut through quiet hours, and noise waits.
Summaries, not floods
"12 new comments, 3 need you" instead of twelve separate pings.
Checked before it's sent
Every notification is checked for personal data, tone and brand rules before it leaves.
On the edge
Runs on Cloudflare's global network, so connections land close to your users.
Secure by design
Short-lived, single-use connection tickets and channels scoped to exactly who should see them.
Nothing to run
Drop in the SDK or call the API. No servers to host, no sockets to manage, no scaling to plan.
Status
Walkie is in active development.
We built it because we needed it in-house. Reaching people the moment something happens, on every device, is a problem we kept meeting, and we saw a chance to solve it properly instead of stitching services together. If your team has the same problem, say hello.
